Wall of debt building for businesses in north west

A local TD says there is a 'wall of debt' building for many businesses across the region.

While agreeing that the €1b extra in business supports is welcome, Independent TD, Marian Harkin, believes they don't go far enough.

She says the new supports rely heavily and the availability of loans and for many businesses, borrowing at rates of 4.5% is not feasible.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Deputy Harkin says bills continue to pile up for businesses yet they remain closed.
