Walsh calls for plan to be put in place for Sligo Airport

A  Sligo councillor says a plan is needed for Sligo Airport going forward.

 

Fine Gael's Thomas Walsh says they have been reimbursed €200,000 for works carried out over a year ago but are still waiting for €80,000 to begin phase 2 of works.

He says Sligo Airport is the busiest Coast Guard base in the country ahead of even Dublin and Shannon.

 

Councillor Walsh says they are sill seeking €100,000 for operating costs.
