Water supply returning to Strandhill following late night works

Water supply is returning to normal levels in Strandhill and the surrounding areas of Co Sligo this morning after the successful completion of mains repair works by Uisce Éireann crews on Wednesday evening.

A burst water main on Wednesday morning caused some supply disruptions for Uisce Éireann customers in Grange East, Kilmacowen, Strandhill and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann crews were able to locate the source of the burst and, despite some difficult excavation conditions, successfully repaired the main on Wednesday evening.

The works are now complete and supply is returning to all affected areas.
