TDs and Senators from Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are being briefed on Wednesday on a deal for entering government.
It's reported in the Irish Independent that the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar may be forced to drop up to seven Fine Gael ministers as part of the new policy agreement.
There's speculation that the Minister for Education and Donegal TD Joe McHugh, is one of those facing demotion.
If parliamentary party members sign off on the new joint policy document, it will then be presented to the smaller parties - as well as the Regional Technical Group of Independent TDs.
