Met Eireann has also issued a status yellow rain warning for South Donegal, Leitrim and parts of Sligo.
A status yellow wind warning also remains in place for the north west Counties
The wind warning is valid until nine o'clock this morning and has also been issued for Galway , Mayo, , Clare, Cork and Kerry.
