Western Development Commission invest in Sligo biotech company

The Western Development Commission are investing €500,000 into a local company.

The benefactors, Nektr, who are based in Finisklin business and technology park recently raised a total €1m investment.

The company develops antimicrobial agents, which is hoped to have a use in human and animal health.

Speaking to OceanFM News, the Western Development Commission's Investment Manager, Gillian Buckley says the technology being developed in the north west, could have a global impact.
