Whale washed up on Sligo beach not same whale that washed up on Aranmore Island

A dead whale that washed up on a beach in Co Sligo is not the same whale that washed up in Donegal last week.

A male fin whale, measuring over 60 feet long, washed up on Trawee Beach on Saturday.

And last weekend, a fin whale of similar size washed up on Arranmore Island.
