What's another year for Ireland's Eurovision hopes

A former local Eurovision winner has express his disapiontment that Ireland have failed to reach the final of this year's competiiton.

Leslie Roy performed her song Maps in the first of this week's semi-finals in Rotterdam last night.

Despite being well received by the audience, the Dubliner failed to get the required number of votes.

10 out of 16 countries advanced to Saturday's final.

Former local Eurovision winner, Drumshanbo resident and Donegal native Charlie McGettigan, says it's disappointing Ireland won't be there:
