The Gardai and the Sligo fire service attended the Omniplex Cinema on Wine Street last night following a fire alarm.
It occurred shortly after 9pm last night when its believed members of the public and staff from the cinema were asked to evacuate after reports of a fire.
It is reported that 4 fire trucks, 2 ambulance crews and members from An Garda Síochána attended the scene. Neighbouring premises were also told to evacuate.
It has not yet been made clear if anyone was hurt during the incident.

However, Wine street has reopened this morning.
