With heavy rainfall, extra care on roads required this morning

We're being asked to take extra care on the roads this morning as Storm Francis crosses the region.

A Status Orange rainfall warning for Connacht and a number of other counties, including Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan, remains in place until 6pm this evening.

There is also warnings of some flash flooding and rising river levels that may result in river flooding.

The Road Safety Authority's Brian Farrell says anyone setting out early this morning must be on their guard.
