A female in her 30's appeared before a special sitting of Carrick on Shannon District Court yesterday evening, charged with Section 2 Assault and a Public Order Offence following an incident in Sligo Town yesterday afternoon.
The court heard that it is alleged the defendant refused to give correct details to the Garda when requested, and coughed twice at a female Garda, making a reference to Covid-19

The female was remanded in custody overnight to appear before Carrick On Shannon District Court today.
