Woman hospitalised following collision at Carraroe roundabout

A woman has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision just outside Sligo town.

The single-vehicle collision involving a car and a pedestrian occurred at the Carraroe roundabout at about 8.30am.

It's understood that injured party did not sustain serious injuries but as has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Emergency services attended the scene and the road has since reopened.

Motorists are advised, however that delays can be expected.
