Work is ongoing to connect Coney Island in Sligo to the mainland broadband plan.
A presentation on the NBI’s National broadband plan was made to Sligo County Council this morning.
Over 3km of cable was laid on the island in September, with a view to getting premises connected with broadband.
The connection is expected to be live by December of this year.
