Work starts on new sheltered walkway at Ireland West Airport

Work has started on a new sheltered walkway for passengers at Ireland West Airport.

Many passengers have previously expressed frustration as they have been forced to wait in adverse weather conditions while boarding flights.

However, the new development, located at departures, will allow for greater comfort for passengers going forward.

It's expected that the project will be completed in time for the airport's busy summer schedule.

Ireland West Airport have apologised for any inconvenience caused during the construction phase.
