A young man is in a serious condition in hospital following an overnight crash in Sligo.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the single-vehicle collision that happened shortly before midnight at Ballinode.

The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injuries sustained during the crash.
There was also significant damage to a nearby property as a result.

Gardai say that the R286 road is currently open for use.
They're also appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
