The youngest Green Party nominee nationwide for the upcoming local elections will be running in Leitrim.
Adam Ó Ceallaigh, who is 21 years old, will be running in the Ballinamore Municipal District.
Ó Ceallaigh is currently a student in Trinity College Dublin, studying Geography and Political Science.
He says that issues affecting young people, particularly housing and transport, are what he will be focusing on.

Mr Ó Ceallaigh is also the youngest person ever to contest a seat in the Ballinamore local electorate area.
