Youth organisations, such as scout groups and Foroige clubs, throughout the region, are going to lose out because of changes to a grant scheme.
That's according to Sligo Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy who says last year, youth groups had to have 75% of members under the age of 21 to apply for the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme.
But he says that this year, 75% of members have to be BETWEEN the ages of 10 and 21.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, he says it may seem like a small change.
But he says it has serious consequences for groups and clubs which are run by dedicated volunteers who give up their evenings and weekends.
