Dermot McNally from Sligo spent time at the Maze Prison with leading Republican, Brendan Bik McFarlane and both were included in the 38 inmates who escaped from the prison in 1983. Following his funeral this week, McNally has been defending McFarlane's legacy, despite being jailed for life for the killing of five people
