6th March 2021; Peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Terry and Beatrice and his brothers Bernie and Terry. Albert will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers John and Kieran, sister Freddie (Foley), sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Seán, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Albert’s family would like to thank Eithne and her amazing team in Oakwood Nursing Home who cared for Albert so wonderfully and diligently over the happy years he spent with them and also the staff of Medical 5 in Sligo University Hospital who ensured that Albert’s final days were spent peacefully and comfortably. May Albert’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Removal from his nephew Darragh’s home, Townaghbrack, on Monday (March 8th) to St. Aidan’s Church, Monasteraden for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Monasteraden Cemetery. In line with current Government guidelines, Albert’s funeral will take place privately and the house is private to family and friends only please.
