Cathy George Jimmy and the extended McAnaw family It is with deep sadness that we have learned of Anthony's sudden passing. Anthony was a member of Cairde Mhuire (Our Ladys Volunteers) since 1976 and was one of the most loyal and dedicated members of our society. Anthony travelled to Knock each and every Sunday during the Pilgrimage season April to October and assisted in so many ways to ensure all pilgrims especially the sick were looked after and that the ceremonies ran smoothly. His favourite job was to carry the cross at the forefront of the procession. He was a very valued member of the Cairde Mhuire family and will be sadly missed by us all. The is no doubt but Our Lady of Knock has reserved a special place for him in heaven. We thank God for Anthony's service to Our Ladys Shrine and may he now rest in the peace he so richly deserves. RIP Anthony. John Hynes President Knock Shrine Society
