In his 101st year. Peacefully and suddenly at Sligo University Hospital.

December 11th 2024, suddenly and peacefully at Sligo University Hospital with Christian courage and dignity. Beloved and cherished husband and father.

Predeceased by his wife Noreen (nee Gilbride), daughter Roisin and son Noel, his parents Hugh and Theresa, sisters Teresa Giblin and Nora McGloin, brothers Hugh, Leo and Joe.

Sadly missed by son Eugene, daughter Deirdre O’Connor and her husband Gerard (Waterford), daughter Mary (Fermanagh), granddaughter Maeve and her husband Eoin Delahunty, grandson Seán and great grandson, Fionn. Deeply regretted by his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Remains reposing in Nazareth House Chapel Sunday 15th December from 5.15pm with removal at 7.15pm to St Anne's Church, Cranmore Road, Sligo. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 16th December at 11am with burial afterwards in Sligo Cemetery. Billy's mass can be viewed live on https://mcn.live/Camera/st-annes-cranmore
