So sad and shocked to hear this sad news. What a genuine, happy, special man and priest. A breath of fresh air when he came home to Garrison and said Mass and always enjoyed his pint in Gilroys, mixing with those he grew up with and the young also throughly enjoyed his company. It was heart breaking to learn of Fr. Cathal’s sudden passing. We were shocked and saddened as we knew him growing up in Garrison - he was destined to be a priest and worked so hard in Peru. He always managed to call in and say hello whenever he returned home. He will be missed. Sincere sympathy to all the Gallagher families. May his gentle soul, rest in peace.
