Former Principal of Coláiste Iascaigh.

The death has occurred peacefully of Gerry Donagher, surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.

Gerry, predeceased by his beloved wife Bridie Donagher (née Kilcullen), his parents John and Nellie, his siblings Nancy, Thomas J (Tommy) and Nuala Heslin.

Loving father of John, Aileen and Kenny and adored grandfather of Mary, Bríd and Eithne McGowan and Clíodhna and Róisín Donagher. He will be sadly missed by his sons, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law David McGowan, daughter-in-law Maria Hyland, sister-in-law Kay Treacy, brothers-in-law Edward and Anthony Kilcullen, nieces, nephews, relatives and his wide circle of friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina on Monday evening from 6:30pm with removal at 8:00pm to arrive at St. James’ Church, Easkey, Co. Sligo for 8:45pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 noon followed by burial after in Roslea Cemetery, Easkey, Co. Sligo.
