Suddenly, at Sligo University Hospital. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters. Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of Ian, Karina and Jacqueline. He will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren Kenneth and Ryan, son-in-law Scottie Gilmartin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Sunday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral will arrive to The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception, Sligo on Monday morning for Requiem mass at 11:30am, followed by burial after in Sligo Cemetery.

Deepest sympathy to the Lynch family. When I worked in The Sligo Champion I often met Jim at lunchtime in The Ark Bar in High Street sitting at the counter drinking a cup of tea. Others around were Paddy Melly, Denis Deery and all the great staff of The Ark. In the years after, Jim always had a 'Hello' and a chat. May he Rest in Peace.

I travelled manys a mile thrrought the country with Jim to watch his beloved 'Bit O Red' and shared many a debate on the way home. What always shone through was lhis love of Sligo Rovers. I also met him many times in the former Ark Bar where he also always enjoyed the chats and had many good friends. Thoughts and prayers with you all.
