After a short illness.

Predeceased by his brothers Paddy, Eddy, Gus, sister Betty and son-in-law Justin.

Dearly loved husband of Berna and father of Anne-Marie, Grainne and Roisin.

He will be remembered with much love by his wife, daughters, sons-in-law Eoin and Conor, his ten grandchildren Jessica, Olivia, Sam, Beth, Daniel, Isobel, Alex, Aisling, Aoibhin and Aran, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Cherished by his relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98) on Wednesday January 3rd from 5pm with removal to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo at 6:30pm arriving for reception prayers at 7pm.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday January 4th at 11:30am. Burial follows in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo. I will never forget our surprise meeting in the departure lounge in Dublin, heading to Corfu....(I was on long term sick leave and so embarrassed, but need not have worried). Such a gentleman, we even surmised how Corfu could be a destination for service users as a holiday is so therapeutic

With deepest shock and sadness, I learn of the passing of John. It was an honour to have worked with him in Cregg House over the many years. As a husband and father, he protrayed all that is good in people. His love of his garden was very evident when I met him recently. May he rest in peace.
