John Hugh O’Brien

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, May 9th 2024.

Predeceased by his mother Annie , father Ted , brothers Terence, Gerald and Desmond. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (Cis) O’Brien.

Sadly missed by his daughters Helen (Sullivan) and Ann (Magee) , sons-in-law Paul and Kevin , grandchildren Megan, Aidan, Ryan and James , loving sisters Patty (New York), Mary (Dromahair), Gaye (Glencar) and Teresa (Collooney) , brothers Seamus (Carrickfad) and Kevin (Dromahair).

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Williams Funeral Home, Bronx, New York on Wednesday 15th May, from 4pm to 8:30pm.

Removal on Thursday 16th May, to St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, for funeral mass at 10:45am. Burial to follow in Gate Of Heaven cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.

My late mother, Anne McGloin née Gallagher worked for Hughie’s family when she was a young woman. I brought her to visit her in Bronxville in 1990 and that was a lovely moment for both of them.
