Mairéad passed away peacefully in Killybegs Community Hospital in the excellent care of nurses and staff. Pre-deceased by her brother Fr. Pádraic McShane and her sister Mary Folan, Mairéad will be sadly missed by her loving husband Francis, her sons Eunan & Rónan, daughters-in-law Peggy and Christine, her grandchildren Sinéad, Pauric, Christopher, Áine, Aishling, Aoife, Dermot and her great-granddaughter Kyrna, her nephews Fergus, Lorcan & Colm and wide circle of relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her Remains will be reposing at her family home from 4pm – 8pm on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th March. The family home is private to family and relatives at all other times. Removal to St. Columba’s Church, Carrick on Saturday 18th March, for Funeral Mass at 1pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
