21st July, 2024. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff in the Cairde Unit at St. John’s Community Hospital, Sligo.

 

Martin, predeceased by his parents John and Anne Fahy, his twin infant brother Michael, brothers John and Cyril, sister Breda Walsh, and sister-in-law Linda.

He will be sadly missed by his brothers Brian (Dublin) and Joe (Roscommon), sisters-in-law Teresa and Olive, brother-in-law Pat Walsh (Boston), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, his cousins particularly Sr. Teresa Fahy, his many kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm with removal at 8:00pm to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Sligo for 8:30pm. Requiem mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11:00am followed by burial at Sligo Cemetery.

It was a pleasure knowing Martin. A gentleman. We had great chats a few years back. He loved the "old war documentaries" and loved talking about London where he worked for many years. Condolences to all of his family, John orourke.
