So sorry to hear of the death of Mary. She was a valued member of our art group here in Ballyshannon. Many a wonderful story Mary told us about her time as a child in and around Classiebawn. A lovely lady. May she rest in peace.

Mary was a student in my art class for many years. She was a fine artist but above that she was a lovely person to be with. A beautiful soul who brought light into the world. Ar dheis Dé go raibh anam dílis. So sorry that I can’t attend the funeral but will be saying this lovely prayer for the progress of her soul. O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.

Yvonne Rosalind Foley, Glenade, Kinlough.

Sorry to hear about Mary's recent passing. She was a beautiful caring, friendly lady. May she rest in peace.

I am sad to hear of my cousin Mary’s passing. I wish I got to know her better, but I am so grateful that we met briefly. She was a wonderful poet, and I read some of her poems in my poetry group in New Jersey. Her interest in genealogy brought her together with my sister Barbara, and reunited the families after decades.
