To all the Branley Family. My deepest sympathy on your great loss. He is now with his beloved wife Eileen. May they Rest In Peace. Padraig for his lifetime has been one of the characters of Sligo & Leitrim. Everybody knew him and he amazed me in the way he could remember all of those he met by their first name. He was a very hard working man who had entered and enjoyed many business activities. He loved life, he loved his family, he loved his different businesses and he loved politics. While he may have spent a short period in elected office he was Mayor of Sligo & Chairman of Sligo County Council and was very popular among the people and all public representatives. He loved elections and I have known him and worked with him since the sixties. I never witnessed him in bad form, always jolly, always a smile, always a friend. He will be sadly missed.  Ray MacSharry
