Peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at St Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair, Co Leitrim.
Deeply regretted by his wife Nancy, sisters Bridie (Phelan), and Ann (Bannigan).
Pre-deceased by his brother Eamon. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Seán donated his body to medical science.
A celebration of Sean's life will be held later.
I have many memories of Sean when we both worked in SNIA Ireland many years ago. I attended his wedding along with his friend Leo Seery. Those days are long gone but I will always remember Sean for marvellous sense of humour. My deepest sympathy to his wife Nancy and his sisters and friends. RIP

Sincere condolences to Nancy, and to his sister's, nieces, and nephews on the passing of Sean. He was one of life's greatest characters, loved the stock, especially the horses, and born to tell stories that could meander off on the strangest of journeys, much like his own travels, before returning to the original story. He could captivate his audience into the wee small hours of the clock, and often did, much to his merriment. RIP Sean a chara, your story, and stories will live on for generations to come.
