Valerie Sleator (née Lindsay)
Peacefully after a short illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at both North West Hospice and previously the Oncology unit of Sligo University Hospital.
Now re-united with her infant grandson Reyhan, predeceased by her parents, sister Mai (Ryan) and her husband Billy.
Valerie, dearly beloved wife and best friend to Tommy for 56 years, cherished mother of Janelle (Branley), Lorraine (O'Malley) and Lloyd, devoted Grandmother to Kayleigh, Farah and Daniel.
Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, Janelle's husband Keith, Lloyd's wife Amanda, sister Doreen (Oldfield) and her husband Albert, sister-in-law Rene (Shaw), brother-in-law Fred and his wife Ann, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Valerie will also be forever and lovingly remembered as Mammy Valerie by the children she cared for with such great kindness over the years.
Safe in the arms of Jesus
Reposing in Perry's Funeral Home, Collooney F91AX21 on Monday from 5pm until 8pm.
Valerie's funeral service will take place in Taunagh Parish Church, Riverstown on Tuesday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Kilmorgan new cemetery, Ballymote.
Family flowers only, donations if desired to Oncology Unit of Sligo University Hospital or North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo.
