Mick Treacy was working with the Irish Air Corps on 27th August 1979 when he received a call directing him and his crew to Mullaghmore after the IRA explosion that killed Lord Mountbatten and three others. He was the winchman on the day and tasked with recovering dead bodies from the water. Mick, who still works with the Irish Coastguard Search and Rescue service, still has vivid memories of the tragedy
