Plans are afoot to change the recruitment age limits for Gardai, with reports that those up to the age of 50 would be eligible to apply. Former Manorhamilton-based Garda Gerry Murphy has lambasted the idea saying it's highly unsuitable in such a job, where experience through the ranks is as important as anything else
