Eileen Magnier has recently announced that she will retire early from RTE after having spent 39 years working with the state broadcaster.
Eileen was the first female regional correspondent when she took over duties in the north west back in 1990.

Eileen earlier joined John Lynch in studio to look back on her career on this morning’s North West Today.
