Iarnrod Eireann rule out development of Sligo Greenway along existing route of Western Rail Corridor

Iarnrod Eireann has indicated it is NOT in a position to support the development of the planned Sligo-Mayo Greenway along the existing Western Rail Corridor route. But it says it is willing engaging with Sligo County Council to explore locating the Greenway alongside the rail line - their statement arose after the matter was raised at a council meeting by Cllr Donal Gilroy
