Illegal dumping still a major issue in north west

Litter and illegal dumping continues to be a big issue throughout the North West Region.

Leitrim’s annual Big Clean Up took place this weekend and large amounts of litter was found along the N16.  

What appeared to be seats from a mini bus were found dumped off the greenway in Glenfarne a number of weeks ago.

Donegal will see a clean-up operation swing into life this coming weekend with work taking place from Biddy’s of Barnesmore to the Lidl roundabout in Donegal town

Over the years during this clean-up mobile phones have been found dumped, syringes, nappies, takeaway bags, energy drink cans and coffee cups

Leitrim Councillor, Sean Mc Dermott and Mayor of Donegal town, Pauric Kennedy discussed the issue on North West Today.
