Remembering the woman killed by 'the beast of Glenade Lake'

Legend has it that a woman was killed by a water monster, An Dobharchú, at Glenade Lake in Co Leitrim 300 years ago, on 24th September, 1722. A flagstone in Conwell Cemetery depicts what may have happened. Local resident Seamus McGowan has the story in full
