Donegal TD puts forward solutions to address the shortage of care workers

As issues continue over the lack of home care workers, one Donegal TD is calling for carers to be allocated increased hours and be paid at least the living wage.

Deputy Thomas Pringle believes the lack of contracted hours and inadequate pay is deterring people away from the profession.

Labour tabled a motion in the Dáil calling for the immediate reversal of the recruitment embargo on health workers.

Deputy Pringle says a number of people in isolated areas are affected by little access to facilities or assistance and are left most vulnerable.
