Sligo County Council have confirmed that the proposed Eastern Garavogue Bridge has moved to the detailed design phase.
The phase will be completed by the third quarter of this year.

The proposed project consists of a 2-way single carriageway with dedicated 2-way cycle lanes and pedestrian footpaths on either side

The bridge been seen as a vital piece of infrastructure for the development of Sligo linking the Ash Lane and Molloway Hill areas to Cranmore Road.
