Health Minister calls for more people to be discharged from Hospitals over the weekend.

The Health Minister says hospitals must improve the rate of weekend discharges in Hospitals.

Hi comments come over 50 people are currently waiting on beds at Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals.

Nationally there are 504 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country this morning including 55 at another Saolta facility, Galway University Hospital.

There are 32 people waiting in Sligo and 22 in Letterkenny.

The respective number in the emergency departments stand at 17 and 6 according to the INMO trolley watch figures that were published earlier this morning.
