Health Minister to open North West Hospice new In-Patient Unit

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is visiting Sligo today.

The Minister is set to turn the sod on the North West Hospice new In-Patient Unit later this afternoon among a number of engagements.

The new extension comprises of a 12-bed unit 12 single rooms as well as outpatient facilities.

The existing in-Patient Unit was also refurbished to house the Palliative Care teams.

Operational Lead with the HSE, Nuala Ginnelly, has hailed it as an important day.
