he Sinn Fein party has confirmed that it will run two candidates in next year’s council elections in the Manorhamilton Municipal District.
It's been confirmed that Kinlough native Michelle Brennan Shyabo will run alongside sitting Councillor Padraig Fallon with the hope of securing two of the six seats in the Manorhamilton electoral area.
Councillor Fallon was first elected in 2014 and retained his seat in 2019, it was felt at the time the party could have targeted a second seat due to their popularity in the area.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Michelle Brennan Shyabo says it’s a great honour for her on a person level she will be contesting the elections on a number of local issues including securing greater facilities and infrastructure in the Kinlough area.
