This week’s meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim County Council was informed that the first possible case of mica may have been discovered in the area.
Local Independent Councillor Felim Gurn has requested the Local Authority to urge all Sligo Leitrim TD’s to ensure that funding under redress schemes similar to the ones in Donegal and Sligo will be made available to home owners in Leitrim.

Speaking to Ocean FM news the independent Councillor says it’s vital once the property in question is able to prove that is impacted by the defective blocks condition it is then deemed eligible for funding under the redress schemes.
