Calls have been made for an additional Pathologist to be assigned to Sligo University Hospital.
Cllr Paddy Farrell requested that the Local Authority in Leitrim call on the HSE to hire another Pathologist at the North West facility.

The Fianna Fáil Councillor says there have been some circumstances, where a sudden death has occurred, and bereaved families were left waiting for two or three days before a post-mortem was be carried out.
Speaking to OceanFM News Cllr Farrell says such situations are not acceptable.
