The Justice Minister is being urged to visit Donegal to consider how the new Garda Operating Model will work there.
Under the model, divisions are to increase in size and operate independently.
There's also ongoing concern over the dwindling of resources in the force right across the North West.
Speaking in the Dail, Sinn Fein Donegal TD Pearse Doherty says there are fears among local Gardai that it will harm the links between them and local communities.
