It's been claimed that the lack of parking facilities at Rosses Point beach could deter tourists coming to the area.
Planning permission had previously been lodged for a new outdoor water area at the facility.
Sligo-Drumcliff Municipal District Councillor Thomas Walsh believes every effort must be made to improve facilities there.
