Another candidate has stepped forward to run in the upcoming General Election.
Sitting Leitrim Councillor Des Guckian has declared his intention to run as an Independent candidate in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency.

Councillor Guckian previously contested the 2016 general election, receiving 1,060 first preference votes.
