The Dail has heard that diabetes care in the North West is in 'absolute crisis' and the 'Governments inaction is an absolute disgrace'.
It comes as it emerged in recent day that two Consultant endocrinologists at Letterkenny University Hospital have resigned.
It's also been revealed that adults with diabetes in the region are waiting up to 24 months for an appointment - the recommended timeframe is six months.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly also came under fire for not being present in the Dail Chamber to respond to the Sinn Fein motion on hospital waiting lists.
