The chair of the Donegal branch of the Irish Hotels' Federation has penned an open letter to all local elections candidates seeking their support for pro-tourism policies in advance of polling day.
Tourism enterprises is currently the country's largest indigenous employer, with 8,000 employed in the county.
Aisling Arnold says that a flourishing tourism and hospitality industry is vital for Donegal's prosperity and economic well-being.
